- This document specifies requirements and corresponding test methods for cristobalite for use as extender in paints. For cristobalit and silica contents, matter volatile at 105 ? loss on ignition, water soluble matter, pH value figures are specified. Requirements to residue on sieve, particle size distribution, colour, lightness, resistivity of aqueous extract and oil absorption value are left to an agreement between the interested parties.#,,#
