This standard specifies analog and digital circuit meters that measure three or more of the following: DC voltage, DC current, AC voltage, AC current, and resistance, and the test leads that come as standard accessories. However, this excludes those that use an external power supply to measure these quantities, those that measure voltages exceeding 1200V, high voltage measurement probes, and analog circuit meters that have built-in amplifiers.
