- This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of asbestos friction plates for industrial machinery (hereinafter referred to as friction plates). This standard applies to asbestos friction plates for industrial machinery (brake plates, brake bands, clutch faces), and also for dry asbestos friction plates for agricultural machinery. Dry non-asbestos friction plates can also be used as a reference.
