BS 3996:1978 Specification for colour coding for one-mark and graduated pipettes (including requirements for the service performance of the colour coding enamels)
1 This British Standard provides a system of coding, by means of coloured bands, for one-mark pipettes for identification of nominal capacities, and for graduated pipettes for identification of nominal capacities and units of subdivision.
2 Test methods are described for the assessment of the service performance of the enamels, in terms of whether an enamel will withstand attack under the test conditions described in appendix A. However, the enamels are not classified by degree of resistance.
