This standard applies to medical X-ray equipment that generates and controls high voltage to be applied to a medical X-ray tube (hereinafter referred to as an X-ray tube) built into a medical X-ray tube device that complies with JlS Z 4704. High voltage equipment (hereinafter referred to as X-ray high voltage equipment) is specified. However, this excludes X-ray high voltage equipment used in X-ray CT (image reconstruction tomography equipment), breast X-ray equipment, and diagnostic integrated X-ray generators specified in JlS Z 4711.
