Scope

This standard specifies the rubber materials for vulcanized rubber products (hereinafter referred to as anti-vibration rubber) that are generally used for the purpose of preventing, absorbing, or cushioning the transmission of vibrations and shocks. However, this does not apply to Eponite, cellular rubber, cloth, or rubber reinforced with cords.
