Scope

The purpose of non-repudiation services is to generate, collect, manage, make available, and test the validity of evidence regarding an alleged action or event in order to resolve disputes as to whether that event or event occurred. It is a matter of confirmation. This standard (Part 2) describes the general structures that can be used for non-repudiation services, non-repudiation of origin (NRO) services, non-repudiation of delivery (NRD) services, non-repudiation of sender (NRS) services, and Specifies some specific mechanisms for communications that can be used to provide non-repudiation of transportation (NRT) services.
