Scope

This standard specifies the classification, code, size, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of carbon steel and carbon-manganese steel seamless steel pipes for ships. This standard is applicable to the manufacture of Class II pressure-resistant piping systems for ships, carbon steel and carbon-manganese steel seamless steel pipes for boilers and superheaters.
