Scope

This standard specifies the samples, test solutions, test instruments and equipment, test conditions and procedures, test results and test reports of stainless steel pitting potential measurement methods. This standard applies to the potentiodynamic method for measuring the pitting potential of stainless steel in neutral 3.5% sodium chloride solution.
