- This standard specifies the requirements for fans used in small boats requiring mechanical ventilation in engine rooms, galleys and other spaces, and describes the test methods for measuring the air flow of fans. This standard applies to direct current (dc) fans with a rated voltage below 50V. Fans can be centrifugal or axial.
