Scope: This standard specifies the general rules for file management in the computer-aided design (hereinafter referred to as CAD) process. Including: terminology, concept and classification of CAD files, guidelines for compiling CAD files, basic structure of CAD files, archiving of CAD files, copyright and protection of CAD files, etc. This standard applies to CAD file management in the process of computer-aided design. It is also suitable for file management when computer-aided design and conventional design are used together, and can also be used as a reference for various industries or companies when compiling CAD file management rules for their own industries or companies.
