Scope

This standard specifies vibration tolerance standards and vibration measurement methods during land tests of equipment (hereinafter referred to as equipment) used in the engine parts of general merchant ships. The vibration tolerance standards after installation on board and during operation at sea are specified in the annex. Note () Equipment used in the engine section of general merchant ships refers to the following general equipment installed in and around the engine room necessary for ship propulsion. a) Diesel engine for generator b) Pump c) Air compressor (rotary type) d) Oil purifier e) Ventilator
