Scope

This standard specifies the method for quantifying aluminum in nickel alloys by spectrophotometry. This method is applied to samples with an aluminum content of 0.2% (m/m) to 4% (m/m). Typical compositions of nickel alloys are shown in Annex B of ISO 7530-1:1990. General requirements for equipment, sampling, sample digestion, absorbance measurements, calculations and spectroscopy reports are given in ISO 7530-1.
