Scope

This standard applies to tape packaging of electronic equipment components with two or more radial lead wire terminals. Usually, the lead wire terminals of components are fixed with tape. This standard specifies the requirements for taping using equipment that performs operations such as automatic mounting, lead wire terminal forming, and insertion, and is limited to the dimensions necessary for taping components used for the above purposes.
