Scope

This part of EN 971 defines general terms used in the field of coating materials (paints, varnishes and similar products). NOTE: In drawing up this part of EN 971, Working Group 4, Terminology, of CEN/TC 139, Paints and varnishes, has had regard as far as possible to the existing relevant ISO Standards, and has supplemented or amended these only where deemed necessary or desirable.
