Scope

This standard specifies the standard conditions and test methods for television receivers that comply with the terrestrial broadcast television standards specified by ITU-R (formerly CCIR). Such receivers may be used for direct terrestrial reception, reception over a cable network, or for other uses as monitors for recording video, home movies, and games.
