Scope

This standard is for fixed wiring with extruded solid insulation, conductor and core shielding for rated voltages 3.6/6(7.2)kV, 6/10(12)kV and &7/15(7.5)kV (see 4.). Applies to marine power cables. The cable type is shown in 8. Construction requirements and test procedures shall comply with JIS C 3411-350, except for those specified in this standard. The wording of this standard is as follows. —JIS F 8071 standardizes cables that guarantee safety and reliability when installed. — specifies standard manufacturing requirements and characteristics of these cables, both directly and indirectly with regard to safety; 　——Specify test methods to verify compliance with those required characteristics.
