Scope

This standard specifies plug-in wire connectors (hereinafter referred to as connectors) used to connect copper wires in general indoor wiring and roof wiring of 600V or less. The range of wires applicable to connectors is 1.2-3.2 mm in diameter for solid wires, and 1.25-38 mm2 in nominal cross-sectional area for stranded wires and flexible stranded wires.
