- This standard specifies the method for measuring the resistance of geotextiles and related products to the penetration of a steel cone falling from a fixed height. The penetration of the falling cone represents the degree of damage to the product caused by the falling sharp stones on the surface of the geotextile. This method is generally used for geotextiles and related products. The applicability of this method to certain types of products (eg geogrids) should be carefully considered.
