Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of mica boards for electric heating equipment. This standard applies to hard mica boards made of mica paper as the base material and bonded with a suitable adhesive. The adhesive may escape completely during application and become a supported material, or it may remain in whole or in part and become a self-supporting material, in which case the adhesive must withstand the running work temperature.
