- This standard specifies the management and maintenance of the EDI standard system involved in the standardization of electronic data interchange (EDI) and the selection and use of EDI standards in implementation. This standard applies to the design and development of EDI application systems, the revision, management and maintenance of EDI standards, and provides guidance for EDI application system developers and application personnel to correctly select and use EDI standards and carry out EDI standardization work.
