Scope

This standard specifies the noise level of sounds generated by general-purpose sewing machines, cycle sewing machines, and automatic machines (hereinafter referred to as sewing machines), such as industrial lockstitch machines and industrial overlock stitch machines. Specifies the method for measuring at the standard ear position for sewing manufacturers.
