Scope

In addition to JIS B 8002, this standard specifies the rated points or output of marine propulsion engines (hereinafter referred to as "engines") or propulsion devices installed in leisure craft and other craft with a length of 24 m or less. Specifies test requirements for determining curvilinear output. It also specifies the method of certification and inspection of the indicated (rated) power published by the engine manufacturer.
