Scope

Method for specifying requirements for chromium coatings usually of substantial thickness on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Covers stress relief treatment before coating, the appearance, surface finish, thickness, hardness, adhesion and porosity of the coating, heat treatment after coating and sampling.
