Scope: This standard specifies the dimensional tolerances, shape tolerances and allowable wear of functional gauges. This International Standard applies to functional gauges for the inspection of measured elements and/or reference elements using maximum physical requirements. When the maximum entity requirements are applied to the measured elements and (or) datum elements according to the provisions of GB/T 1182, GB/T 4249 and GB/T 16671, the function gauge is used to determine whether their actual contours exceed the corresponding boundaries.
