Scope

This standard specifies the measurement specifications for the determination of the air-borne acoustic noise level of hydraulic pumps (hereinafter referred to as pumps) working under steady-state conditions. This standard applies to the measurement of the A-weighted sound power level of the pump, and the sound power level of the pump in the octave band (center frequency from 125 to 8000 Hz).
