This standard specifies the requirements for determining the rated loading mass of the loader section of crawler loaders, wheel loaders, and backhoe loaders as specified in JIS A 8308. Certain methods of calculating loader overturning loads and test procedures to demonstrate the calculations are also provided. Rated payload mass is based on operating conditions, static forward overturning load and hydraulically lifted mass. Calculated values and test measurements may differ. Due to tire deflection, suspension mechanisms, and tire subsidence to the work surface, the dynamic loads acting on wheel loaders and backhoe loaders will be lower than the calculated values.
