Scope
The document describes a method for the empirical and conventionel determination of the biochemical oxygen demand of water by dilution and seeding with suppression of nitrification. After preparing of the dilution water samples and control solution the oxygen concentration is determined. Afterwards the biochemical oxygen demand is computed after n days.
