Scope: This standard describes the standard measurement conditions and measurement methods for TV broadcast receivers (hereinafter referred to as TV sets) that comply with the terrestrial broadcast TV standards specified by ITU-R (CCIR). The TV set applicable to this standard can be a TV set used to directly receive wireless broadcast TV, or a TV set received through a cable network, or a monitor that can be used as a video recorder playback, home audio-visual equipment and game consoles. This standard does not cover measurements specific to audio channels. The measurement methods for audio channels are described in IEC107-2, IEC107-3, IEC107-4 and IEC107-5; the measurement methods for non-standard broadcast signal conditions are described in IEC107-6. This standard describes the measurement of the performance of television sets, and lists the characteristics useful for these performances and uniform measurement methods for these characteristics, so that uniform comparisons of television sets can be carried out. But no performance requirements are specified. This standard does not describe general safety requirements, and this part is implemented in accordance with IEC Bulletin 65 or other IEC safety standards. At the same time, the requirements for interference and immunity are not described, and these requirements are implemented in accordance with CISPR 13 and 20 announcements.
