- This standard specifies the principle, sample, test equipment, test procedure, test result evaluation and test report of the metal pipe ring tensile test method. This standard is applicable to the ring tensile test of circular cross-section metal pipes with an outer diameter greater than 150mm and a pipe wall thickness not greater than 40mm, but the inner diameter shall be greater than 100mm, to show its surface and internal defects. It can also be used to evaluate the ductility of pipes.
