- This standard specifies the requirements, sampling, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of sulfur black, 3B, 4B, 3BR and 2RB. This standard applies to the sulfur black product obtained by the hydrolysis of 2.4 dinitrochlorobenzene and sodium polysulfide. Sulfur black belongs to sulfur dyes according to its application method. It is mainly used for dyeing cotton and hemp fibers, and can also be used for dyeing viscose and rayon fibers. 3B, 4B, 3BR, and 2RB in the suffix respectively represent the difference in shade between the corresponding dyes.
