- This standard specifies the test methods for assessing the resistance of coatings of paints and varnishes and related products to artificial weathering or lightfastness by exposure to artificial radiation. The most important parameters are stated and the conditions to be used in the exposure equipment are specified. This standard applies to the artificial accelerated determination of the weather resistance and light resistance of paint films.
