Scope

This standard specifies a test method for the length of cotton fibers - mid-section weighing method. This standard applies to the determination of the fiber length of fine-staple cotton. It is not applicable to the determination of the length of fibers taken from cotton yarn or cotton fabrics and mixtures of cotton fibers and other fibers.
