This standard applies to building electrical equipment supplied with a frequency of 60 Hz or less, a nominal voltage of 1000 V AC or less, and a nominal voltage of 1500 V DC or less. This voltage bend is primarily intended for use in conjunction with equipment codes, but may also be used to create individual codes for electrical equipment. Note: Expansion of the applicable range to include frequencies higher than 60Hz is under consideration.
