This standard specifies the safety requirements for single-capped fluorescent lamps for general lighting using the following lamp caps: 2G7, 2GX7, GR8, G10q, GR10q, GX10q, GY10q, 2G11, G23, GX23, G24, GX32 and 2G13. This standard stipulates the method to determine whether the products of the manufacturer meet the requirements of this standard based on the evaluation of all products and the test records of the manufacturer on the finished lamps. This method can also be used for product certification. This standard also stipulates the detailed inspection procedures for evaluating batch products. The requirements for batch inspection include the assessment of all aspects of batch products containing unsafe lamps. If some safety requirements cannot be checked by batch test, and there is no ready-made basis for the quality of the manufacturer, the results of batch test cannot be used for product certification, and batch products cannot be accepted. At this time, when inspecting the batch products, the inspection agency can only conclude that the batch products only have certain safety. Note: The eligibility conditions of this standard only involve safety indicators, and do not consider performance indicators such as luminous flux, color, start-up and working characteristics of single-capped fluorescent lamps for general lighting. For the above data, users should refer to the first edition of IEC 901 "Safety and performance requirements for single-capped fluorescent lamps". The next edition of the standard will only contain performance requirements.
