Scope

This standard specifies the size, shape, weight and allowable deviation of cold-drawn round steel wire, square steel wire and hexagonal steel wire. This standard applies to round steel wires with a diameter of 0.05 mm to 16.0 mm; square steel wires with a side length of 0.50 mm to 10.0 mm; and hexagonal steel wires with a distance between opposite sides of 1.60 mm to 10 mm.
