- This standard specifies the structural type, size, tolerance, length measurement, pre-tension load and minimum tensile load of precision roller chains and sprockets for short-pitch transmission. This standard applies to single-row and multi-row construction short-pitch precision roller chains and their associated sprockets for mechanical transmission and similar applications. This standard applies to precision bush chain sprockets for bicycles, motorcycles and short-pitch transmissions, but not to bicycle and motorcycle chains. They have been included in GB3579 and GB/T14212 respectively.
