Scope

This British Standard specifies requirements for inspection and testing, chemical composition, condition, heat treat-ment and mechanical properties of precipitation hardeningchromium-nickel-copper-molybdenum steel castings having a strength of 950 MPa. (Cr 14.0, Ni 4.5, Cu 2.5, Mo 1.5) Requirements are also given for the rectification of defects and the detection of flaws.Manufacture of castings to this specification may be restricted to foundries specially approved in accordance with 1.1 of British Standard HC 100.NOTE. The title of the publication referred to in this standard is given on page 3.
