- Scope
- This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for gas, liquid and dry bulk tank containers that can be loaded and unloaded by gravity or pressure. This type of container is suitable for road, rail and water transport in international exchanges and intermodal transport between these modes of transport. Unless otherwise stated, the requirements listed in this standard are minimum requirements. Tank containers used to transport dangerous goods should also comply with the international and domestic transport regulations formulated by the relevant competent authorities. This standard applies to all types of containers listed in Table 1. Requirements for codes, identification and marking are specified in ISO6346.
