This standard specifies the method for preparing PVC paste using a disperser. The paste prepared by this method is suitable for characterizing the rheological properties of various vinyl chloride polymers, and can be used as a method for determining the viscosity in the delivery of various resin products. According to this standard, plastisol is defined as a liquid PVC mixture composed of PVC resin suspended in liquid plasticizer di(2-ethyl)hexyl phthalate (DOP). This method is also applicable to the preparation of PVC paste containing other components (if stabilizer is present), but this paste is not used for resin nomenclature.
