GB/T 16687-1996 Information processing systems--Open Systems Interconnection--Protocol specification for the Association Control Service Element (English Version)
The procedures defined in this International Standard apply to instances of communication between systems wishing to be interconnected in an open systems interconnection environment. The core functional unit is used to establish and release application associations. The authentication functional unit provides additional facilities for exchanging information to support authentication at connection establishment without adding new services. The ACSE authentication facility is available to support a limited number of authentication methods. This standard specifies: a) the process of conveying information for the application association control and authentication of application entities; b) the abstract syntax representing ACSEAPDU. The ACSE procedure is defined in the following manner: a) by use of the denotation service interaction between peer ACSE protocol machines; b) interaction between the ACSE protocol machine and its service users. This International Standard also specifies conformance requirements for systems implementing these procedures. It does not include tests that could be used to demonstrate conformance.
