Scope

The purpose of this standard is to describe the general configuration of interworking between PSPDN and CSPDN providing data transmission services (Note 1). As stated in the CCITTX.300 recommendation, these configurations apply to interworking including transport capabilities, but not to interworking including communication capabilities. NOTE 1 These configurations may also be used to support telematics services. 2 The classification of subnets in this standard is based on the support of OSI connectivity network services and is therefore valid only in this sense. Other subnet types supporting other services and applications are for further study.
