This standard is applicable to various types of engineering soil, not applicable to sand, stone and organic soil used in concrete. Note: Engineering soil refers to the soil involved in engineering survey, building foundation, embankment filling and foundation treatment. Organic soil refers to the soil in which most of the components are organic matter.
