Fans with hybrid drive, i.e. fans with a combined electric and pneumatic propulsion, are specially used for the auxiliary ventilation in fire damp areas of underground coalmines. The standard includes as well technical as safety requirements. As to operational practice there are given characteristic curves with rated working points marked.
