- This standard specifies the instruments and materials, samples, test procedures, result calculations and test reports for the water absorption test methods of plate, felt and tubular mineral wool products. This standard applies to the determination of water absorption of rock wool, slag wool, glass wool and aluminum silicate wool and other thermal insulation plate products. Mineral wool shell products are subjected to a capillary penetration test.
