Scope
This standard specifies the content and procedures of dose measurement in the start-up and daily operation of food processing gamma irradiation devices, as well as the classification, calibration and use of gamma-ray absorbed dose measurement systems. The absorbed dose range applicable to this standard is 0.02kGy. Irradiation of other products should also refer to the implementation. Food processing gamma irradiation device (hereinafter referred to as irradiation device) is a device for processing irradiated food composed of radiation source and related facilities. The irradiation device must meet the requirements of safety, sanitation and effectiveness of food processing. The establishment and sub-branches of irradiation devices must go through statutory approval procedures and accept the supervision of law enforcement agencies according to law.
