- This standard specifies the normal value of thyroid volume for children and adolescents (6-17 years old) in my country. This standard applies to the evaluation of the condition of iodine deficiency disorders by B-mode ultrasound, the evaluation of the error of thyroid palpation method, and the evaluation of the prevention and treatment effect of iodine deficiency disorders. It is also applicable to the monitoring, assessment and acceptance of iodine deficiency disorders.
