- Scope
- This standard specifies the profile, diameter and pitch series, basic dimensions, tolerances and markings of threads whose pitch diameter is transitional fit. This standard applies to steel stud studs or other threaded connections with a transition fit in the pitch diameter of the thread, and the internal thread body material that matches it can be cast iron, steel, aluminum alloy, etc. When adopting the thread stipulated in this standard, the designer should use other auxiliary locking structures besides the effective thread at the same time. See Appendix A for specific locking structure types.
