This standard specifies the characteristics of acousto-optic signals. This standard is applicable to all kinds of danger signals. The signals must meet the requirements of Article 5.3 of GB/T 15706.2, that is, they must be clearly perceptible and distinguishable; they are also applicable to all urgency levels—from extreme urgency to “clear the alarm”. When optical signals are used, they should be supplemented by acoustic signals.
