Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the amount of smoke generated by combustion or pyrolysis of building materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of the smoke emission of building materials and their products, composite materials and other solid materials with a thickness not greater than 70mm during combustion or thermal decomposition.
